What can we do now that we were not able to do last year?

After 1 pandemic year due to Covid 19, the crisis will help us come together across boundaries. The idea that we can work through anything together from this crisis. I think it’s an opportunity for the education sector to unite, forge connections across countries and continents, and truly share what works in a global way. I don’t think, prior to this crisis, that we’ve been able to do this, and we will have missed a big opportunity if we don’t try to do that now. After one pandemic year due to Covid 19, the crisis will help us come together across boundaries. The idea that we can work through anything together from this crisis.
As teachers , we became more professional in distance learning, blending teaching and how to deal with technology in teaching. It is easier now to invite more than one class if there is no substitute teacher to cover a certain class.
I think it will be easier to understand that schools aren’t just buildings where students go to learn, and that teachers are irreplaceable. There’s something magic about that in-person connection, that bond between teachers and their students
Exactly! especially that before the pandemic there was nothing called online and we had no experience toward it. I believe that online teaching was a tough option at the beginning.
ReplyDeletePersonally , I strongly support your attitude towards virtual teaching / learning and I think we have to be flexible and try to adapt to any situation no matter how harsh and painful it is ...The most important thing is to keep on fighting the challenges with optimism just to have the capacity to keep on going without giving up and only thinking of how to flourish the good deeds all around ....
ReplyDeleteThank you Ahmad! I personally got really convinced with what you mentioned. Moreover, you opened my eyes to something I didn't think bout before that this year taught us that teachers are irreplaceable! This is the best sentence I heard today. This pandemic gave teachers a lesson on how to be responsible, how to keep going even when you're overwhelmed, and how to work under pressure.
ReplyDeleteI totally support with what you mentioned , especially its new to us .
ReplyDeleteIt was a great experience throughout the last year as teachers and students, but in Lebanon, there was a missing part in some schools using technology. And exactly as you said that teachers are irreplaceable, before some parents blame the teacher that she is not aware from their kids, now they really know what teachers do to support her/his students.
ReplyDeleteThis was touchable through this year which is an important experience for all of us in our teaching journey.
ReplyDeleteI really convinced with what you have said. Its really an enjoyable and new experience for us as students and even teachers despite the technical problems mainly that we faced.
